Karnataka CET 2017

Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 will be conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) on May 2 and May 3, 2017 in offline mode. Application correction facility for Karnataka CET 2017 is now available from March 14, while the last date for making changes in the online application is March 31 (till 5 pm). The online application form of Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 was available from January 27, 2017. The last date for application form of Karnataka CET 2017 was March 8, while the fee payment deadline at the banks or e-post offices was March 10. Candidates were needed to register, fill their details, upload the images like photo, signature and thumb impression and finally pay the fees before submitting the same. Karnataka CET (KCET) Eligibility Criteria 2017

  • Candidates passed in 10+2 level qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and English as a language subject are eligible to appear in the entrance test.
  • Candidates must have studied Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology as elective subject in class XII.
  • Candidates need to obtain minimum 45% aggregate marks if belonging to General Category
  • For Reserved Category i.e. SC, ST Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) candidates, the candidates need to score at least 40% marks.

Karnataka CET (KCET) Application Form 2017 


KEA had made available Karnataka CET or KCET 2017 application form from January 27, 2017 onwards in the online mode. Candidates were required to download information brochure for KCET 2017 for instructions on eligibility criteria and important instructions to fill application form of Karnataka CET 2017. How to fill KCET 2017 Application Form?

  2. Enter basic details including valid e-mail id, mobile number, date of birth and parents’ details
  3. Choose a password for login id of Karnataka CET 2017
  4. Login with registered user id and password of KCET 2017
  5. Fill in application form of KCET 2017 including academic information, communication address and other details
  6. Candidates need to upload scanned copies of recent photograph, signature and left thumb impression as per the specifications
  7. They must submit the application form and take a printout of the same (which will be required to be submitted during document verification.)
  8. KCET 2017 application fee can be remitted via State Bank of Hyderabad, Indian Bank, State Bank of Mysore or e-post office till March 10, 2017

Karnataka CET (KCET) Exam Pattern 2017 

  • KCET 2017 exam pattern includes number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme, language and other information for appearing candidates. Check below test pattern of KCET 2017 including test subjects, modalities and marking scheme -
  • KCET 2017 will be conducted separately for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics on two alternate days
  • Each section of KCET 2017 carries 60 marks
  • KCET 2017 question paper comprises objective type questions of one mark each
  • Each subject paper of KCET 2017 is allotted 80 minutes time duration and the test is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts.
  • Candidates appearing in KCET 2017 need to carry black or blue ball point pen to mark options in OMR sheet.
  • There is no negative marking for KCET 2017 i.e. In case of wrong attempts, no marks will be deducted from total scored marks. Also, responding with more than one option will be considered as wrong and no marks will be awarded in such case.

Karnataka CET (KCET) Syllabus 2017 


KEA notifies that Karnataka CET 2017 will be based on syllabus of First and Second Pre-University Course (PUC) as specified by Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State and KEA doesn’t release any syllabus for KCET 2017. Candidates appearing for KCET 2017 need to know about syllabus besides knowing the exam pattern of KEA CET 2017. Karnataka CET (KCET) Admit Card 2017 


KEA will be issuing KCET 2017 admit card at least two weeks prior to the date of the entrance test. Karnataka CET 2017 admit card will only be available in online mode. Karnataka CET (KCET) Answer Key 2017 


KEA releases KCET 2017 answer key for each subject of Karnataka CET. Candidates can check answer key to analyse their marks as per their responses marked in KCET 2017. KCET 2017 answer key is helpful as it contains correct response for each objective type question of KCET 2017. Candidates can analyse and file objections on wrong questions (if any) within stipulated time as mentioned by the exam conducting authority. KEA releases final answer key after resolving queries filed by candidates. KCET 2017 answer key is also released to clear any doubts and identify faulty questions in KEA CET 2017.

Karnataka CET (KCET) Result 2017 


KCET 2017 Result will be announced in the last week of May in online mode. KCET 2017 result gives the scores and ranks of the qualified candidates, which they obtain in the entrance test. Karnataka CET (KCET) Cutoff 2017 


KEA determines cutoff of KCET 2017 on the basis of minimum qualifying marks criteria. KCET 2017 cut off will be released by the exam conducting authority as soon as the counselling gets over. The closing/cutoff rank specifies that no further admissions will be done if candidates score below the closing rank or cut off marks of KCET 2017. KEA releases course-wise, category-wise and college-wise merit list on the basis of cutoff of KCET 2017. The cutoff of KCET 2017 is determined on the basis of various factors including number of appearing candidates, seat matrix and reservation.

Karnataka CET (KCET) Counselling 2017 


KEA organises KCET 2017 counselling in online as well as offline mode. Candidates who qualify KCET 2017 first need to fill their registration details for participating in KEA CET 2017 counselling.  KEA will be releasing seat matrix and list of participating institutes of KCET 2017. Candidates need to mark their preference with online option entry during web counselling of KCET 2017. KEA releases provisional seat allotment list for tentative seat allotment and candidates need to visit designated counselling centres to confirm their allotted seat.

Karnataka CET (KCET) Reservation Criteria 2017 


Candidates qualifying KCET 2017 will be allotted seats under various categories as per the reservation criteria by KEA. The reserved category candidates at national or state level as well as, special category candidates can avail seats reserved for them as per the regulations of the state government.
